James DeGale And Badou Jack Main Event Result
The Barclays Center was electric. History was made for women’s boxing and the main event of the first of many stacked boxing cards of 2017 had no loser.
But no winner.
James DeGale and Badou Jack fought to a majority draw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This fight was being built as the best way to determine the two best super middleweights in the world. Jack and DeGale were unifying the WBC and IBF super middleweight titles in this big encounter. Neither man could pull out as the clear winner.

Round 12: DeGale starts off with a couple of hooks, which Jack blocks. DeGale now is going for several consecutive body shots. Jack hits a body shot of his own. Jack knocks down DeGale and all 10,128 are on their feet. DeGale hurts Jack, but doesn’t knock him down.

Official Result: The fight ends with a majority draw (114-112 DeGale, 113-113, 113-113)
DeGale knocked Jack in the very first round of the fight and Jack returned the favor all the way into the final round, when Jack got his knock down opportunity. The knockdown sealed the draw as a 10-8 round for Jack in the 12th was needed for the majority draw to happen. Fightful also had it as a 113-113 draw.
No one knows whether the two will have a rematch, even though everybody in the Barclays Center were clamoring for one. DeGale is scheduled to face Callum Smith in his next fight, but those plans could be put on hold for the immediate rematch.
