Report: Matt Jackson Dealing With Partially Torn MCL And Thinning ACL

Matt Jackson is reportedly legitimately injury.

According to Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Matt is dealing with a partially torn MCL and a thinning ACL. The injury reportedly occurred during their Falls Count Anywhere match against The Butcher & The Blade back in July.

AEW has turned the injury into part of the storyline between the Young Bucks and FTR, having FTR Pillmanize the leg/ankle of Matt on the October 21 episode of Dynamite. The angle was done following the Young Bucks earning an AEW Tag Team Title shot by winning a fatal four-way tag team contest.

The Young Bucks were victorious over Private Party on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

The duo is still scheduled to face FTR for the AEW Tag Team Titles this Saturday at AEW Full Gear. If the Young Bucks do not win the titles, they will never challenge for the belts again.
