WWE NXT Results for 11/4/20 Tommaso Ciampa vs Velveteen Dream, Moon vs Kai
It’s grudge matches galore tonight at 8pm EST on USA Network!
Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of WWE NXT!
– We open tonight’s show with a recap of Halloween Havoc.
Ember Moon vs Dakota Kai w/Raquel Gonzalez
They lock up before Ember backs Kai into the corner for a clean break before they grapple with Moon controlling Kai on the mat. Kai gets to her feet and takes Moon back down to the mat before they get to their feet and shove each other before they run the ropes. Moon drops Kai and hits a senton before Kai dodges a meteora and they end up on the apron where Kai pulls Moon shoulder first into the post. Kai tries to hyper extend the arm of Moon before Moon comes back with an enzuigiri and a diving kick off of the second rope before Kai kicks her back. Kai is then draped over the edge of the apron before Moon boots her down onto the floor before hitting one suicide dive and missing a second as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Kai in control before Moon comes back with a head scissors into a spine buster. Kai hits a face buster for two before Ember hits an MX off of the top for two before exchanging submission and pin attempts. The two then exchange strikes before Ember goes up top for The Eclipse and gets distracted by Raquel before Dakota hits the Go to Kick for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dakota Kai defeats Ember Moon via pinfall.
– Backstage Cameron Grimes is interviewed about his defeat to Dexter Lumis last week in their Haunted House of Terror match as well as his match tonight against KUSHIDA we go to commercial.
– We come back from the break to a backstage interview with Shotzi Blackheart about her match against Toni Storm later tonight before we go back to the ring for our next match between KUSHIDA and Cameron Grimes.
KUSHIDA vs Cameron Grimes
Cameron is reluctant to grapple with the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion before KUSHIDA focuses on the arm of Cameron to set up the Hoverboard Lock before Cameron gets a heel hook before KUSHIDA hip tosses him into a flying armbar. KUSHIDA then maintains control on the mat, chaining together holds before Cameron gets to his feet and drops KUSHIDA across the top rope as we go to commercial.
We come back to the action in the ring as KUSHIDA comes back with a dropkick into an enzuigiri before the two exchange strikes. Cameron hits a sit-out powerbomb for two before Cameron counters an avalanche Hoverboard Lock and they accidentally take out the referee. Cameron then hits a Spanish fly, but there’s no referee to count before a second referee comes in and KUSHIDA locks in the Hoverboard Lock for the tap and the win.
Winner: KUSHIDA defeats Cameron Grimes via submission.
– We get a video package promo by Toni Storm ahead of her match against Shotzi Blackheart later tonight where she says that Shotzi is just a stepping stone on her way to the NXT Women’s title.
Drake Maverick & Killian Dain vs Ever-Rise
Dain and Drake send Matt out of the ring and double up on Chase for two before Drake gets distracted by Matt. Chase attacks Drake from behind and Ever-Rise isolate him before Drake low bridges Chase as we see Pat McAfee and company arrive at the arena. Pat, Oney, Danny and Pete then rush the ring and attack both teams while Pat takes the camera and films them for the disqualification.
Winner: No Contest due to interference.
– Pat and company then continue their assault on Dain and Drake after the match as we go to commercial.
– We come back from the break to Pat with a microphone in his hand before he cuts a promo on Undisputed Era and the group proceed to put the UE flag in a garbage can and set it on fire before leaving the arena. Killian Dain then tries to get revenge in the parking lot before he’s out numbered and beaten down before Pete kicks the driver side door into the face of Dain and they leave him in a pool of blood on the side of the parking lot as we go to commercial.
– We get a video package promo by NXT Women’s champion Io Shirai who says that Rhea Ripley is the only challenge she has left in NXT.
– We come back to a promo by newly crowned North American champion Johnny Gargano who is playing a board game with Ghostface.
Toni Storm vs Shotzi Blackheart
They start things off aggressively with Toni taking control early and dropping the exuberant Shotzi repeatedly. Shotzi comes back with an enzuigiri into a leg drop before hitting a head scissors that sends Toni face first into the middle turnbuckle. Shotzi misses an inverted cannonball in the corner before Toni hits a running hip attack for two. Toni chops Shotzi and strikes her in the corner before hitting a float over suplex for two and Shotzi gets two off of an inside cradle. Toni drops Shotzi with a pump kick before kicking her in the midsection and wrenching on her head and neck. Shotzi gets to her feet and gets slammed down to the mat by her hair before Toni locks in a cravat.
Toni then hits a snap mare before hitting a float over suplex for two as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Shotzi hitting a bulldog out of the corner into a roundhouse kick and an inverted cannonball in the ropes for two. Toni picks the ankle of Shotzi and hits several suplexes before hitting a bridging German for two. Shotzi counters Storm Zero into a back suplex for two before running the ropes and Toni drops her with a clothesline. Toni goes up top before Shotzi knocks her off and onto the apron before they exchange strikes until they botch a springboard DDT onto the edge of the apron and both crash down onto the floor. Candice shows up on the big screen as soon as Shotzi gets back into the ring and shows that she has Shotzi’s tank.
Toni then capitalizes on the distraction by Candice and pins Shotzi for the win.
Winner : Toni Storm defeats Shotzi Blackheart via pinfall.
– After the match we go back to Candice who runs over Shotzi’s tank with an SUV with Ghostface in the back seat before driving off. Toni then tries to console Shotzi as we go to commercial.
– Earlier today Legado Del Fantasma were making their way into the arena when Jake Atlas showed up and attacked Raul Mendoza with a tire iron before fleeing the scene.
– We get this week’s edition of Timothy Thatcher’s Wrestling School where he demonstrates reversals all the while brutalizing his student with submissions he won’t easily let go of. Tim is then attacked from behind by his former student Anthony Greene from last week before Greene sends Tim out of the ring and we’re told that he’s now known as August Grey.
– Xia Li is interviewed backstage where she reveals that the mysterious letters she’s been receiving have been from her family before she lobbies NXT General Manager William Regal for a match against Raquel Gonzalez who dishonored her last week. Regal then reluctantly agrees before making the match for next week.
– We get a graphic for next week’s show with two championship matches as Johnny Gargano will make his first North American title defense against a mystery opponent and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will defend their titles against the former champions, Breezango.
Tommaso Ciampa vs The Velveteen Dream
Ciampa locks in a standing side headlock and grounds Dream before Dream rolls to the outside and sends Ciampa into the barricade when he gives chase. Dream counters an attempted suplex onto the floor before Ciampa hits a running knee lift and the two make their way back into the ring. Dream comes back with a flurry of strikes and shoulder blocks in the corner before Ciampa whips him over the top rope and crashing down onto the floor. Dream tries to leave up the ramp before Ciampa drags him back and tosses him back inside before Dream counters a Fairytale Ending. Ciampa then snaps the arm of Dream and puts him in the tree of woe in the corner before stomping him in said corner and against the steps when Dream falls out of the ring and down onto the floor as we go to commercial.
We come back to Ciampa in control in the ring before Dream comes back with a huge spine buster and punches in mount. Dream rocks Ciampa with a kick before Ciampa comes back with clotheslines and a running clothesline in the corner. Ciampa sets Dream up top before hitting a superplex for a near fall before Dream gets a near fall off of a jack knife cover. Ciampa grabs the ropes when Dream goes for the DVD before Dream sends Ciampa out of the ring and hits a diving ax handle. Dream suplexes he and Ciampa over the top and down onto the floor before Dream superkicks Ciampa and tosses him back inside.
Ciampa then hits the Willows Bell onto Fairytale Ending for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa defeats The Velveteen Dream via pinfall.
