Report: Alexandre Pantoja vs. Manel Kape On December 19 UFC Card
A flyweight division attraction has been added to the December 19 UFC card as #5 Alexandre Pantoja faces Manel Kape.
MMA Junkie first reported the news.
Pantoja (22-5-0) has won just one of his last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Matt Schnell at UFC Fight Night Busan. Pantoja has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and all but one of them came to a past or current UFC fighter. Pantoja has pciked up 16 of his 22 wins by way of KO/TKO or submission, while all of his defeats came by decision.
Kape (15-4-0) is making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so on the strength of a three bout winning streak. Kape is a former Rizin bantamweight champion, defeating Kai Asakura to win the gold at Rizin 20 in December of 2019. Kape has picked up nine of his fifteen pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, but he has yet to be defeated in that matter.
UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Chimaev takes place on Saturday, December 19 from a location to be announced with Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
