Tony Ferguson To The UFC: “Don’t Pay Anybody More Than Me” Other Than Conor McGregor

Tony Ferguson has been a part of the UFC lightweight division for his entire UFC run, which is why he believes only Conor McGregor should be paid more than him.

The fighter cites the fact that he had to start at the bottom in the UFC as the reason why only McGregor should be the only lightweight fighter paid more than him.

“Don’t pay somebody more than me. Don’t pay anybody more than me,” Ferguson told Submission Radio (via Abhinav Kini of The Body Lock). “If you’re going to pay Conor more than me, I understand that. But don’t pay anybody fucking more than me in this division, especially a new guy [Chandler]. I’ve earned this right. I’ve started from the mailroom all the way to the fucking beginning. I earned my right through Fuel TV, Spike TV, FOX, ESPN, all the switches between Reebok and losing sponsors — who’s their main fucking guy that stays here and has been the same fucking guy that started with cringe and became an asshole and then fucking became cool and then I’m a genius.”

Ferguson holds a 15-2-0 record in the UFC and is a former UFC interim lightweight champion, plus he is the lightweight winner of the Ultimate Fighter 13. Ferguson last competed in the main event of UFC 249, suffering a fifth round TKO loss to Justin Gaethje.
