Report: Cody Stamann Pulled From December 5 UFC Card
Merab Dvalishvili is going to need a new opponent for the December 5 UFC card because Cody Stamann has been pulled from the card due to non-COVID-19 related issues.
Fightful reached out to Stamann’s management who wouldn’t confirm.
Giorgi Kokiashvili first reported the news. Dvalishvili is expected to remain on the card at this time, as the UFC is seeking a replacement opponent for him to fight.
Dvalishvili (12-4-0) enters the contest riding a five-fight winning streak, picking up wins over Terrion Ware, Brad Katona, Casey Kenney, Gustavo Lopez and John Dodson. Dvalishvili hasn’t been defeated in over two years with his last loss coming to Ricky Simon at UFC Fight Night Atlantic City. Dvalishvili has picked up 16 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 12 of those bouts went the distance.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, December 5 from a location to be announced with Jack Hermansson and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
