Top Class Of NXT Stars Being Groomed For Main Roster Doesn’t Include Notable Tag Team
The "Terry Taylor Class" is the vaunted top class at the WWE Performance center which grooms talents who are being considered right now for "somewhat imminent spots" on WWE's Roster. And according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are some surprising names in the current class, or rather, not in the current class.
Now, of course, plans could always change, but the guys who are currently in the top class are:
- TM-61
- Hideo Itami
- Kassius Ohno
- Elias Samson
- Tye Dillinger
- Alexander Wolfe
- Andrade "Cien" Almas
- NXT Tag Team Champions Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa
- NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
It might seem odd to some to see a name like Alexander Wolfe in there with the rest, but there are also a couple of names missing.
The Revival are nowhere to be found. Many expected them to be moving up now that they have lost the rematch for the Tag Titles they lost to Gargano & Ciampa back at NXT Takeover Toronto.
They are currently in the group immediately below, which also includes:
- The Authors of Pain
- Roderick Strong
- Dan Matha
- Wesley Blake
- Buddy Murphy
- Riddick Moss
- Tino Sabbatelli
- Aleister Black (Tommy End)
- Killian Dain (Big Damo)
- Oney Lorcan.
These are the ones who will be moved up to the Terry Taylor class when the top talents are called up. One notable name missing from both classes is No Way Jose, who has been seen on NXT TV far more than the likes of Dan Matha, Riddick Moss or Tino Sabbatelli.
If you're wondering where Bobby Roode fits into all of this, his deal is different and he doesn't train at the WWE Performance Center. The same deal may have been extended to the likes of Samoa Joe, Eric Young and Austin Aries, as well, which means none of the former TNA talents would be in the classes.
