Khabib Nurmagomedov Shuts Down Stephen A. Smith: “I Don’t Want To Talk About This”
It seems that Khabib Nurmagomedov is tired talking about Conor McGregor and the latest example of this happened during an interview with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.
Smith recently asked Nurmagomedov about fighting McGregor for a second time on ESPN’s First Take.
“A lot of times, particularly in the fight game, you talk about giving the people what they want to see,” Smith said (via Nolan King of MMA Junkie). “One of the things I said last week talking about you, sir, was that you really, really don’t want to fight somebody like Conor McGregor again – primarily because you don’t like him and you think fighting him again gives him attention that you don’t believe he deserves. How accurate is that?”
McGregor and Nurmagomedov met for the first time at UFC 229, where Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor by fourth-round submission. Nurmagomedov needed just 11 words to shut down Smith and the talk about a rematch with McGregor.
“Right now, even I don’t want to talk about this [expletive],” says Nurmagomedov.
