Drew McIntyre Wasn’t Aware New WWE Games Allowed You To ‘Virtually Batter’ People Across The Globe
Drew McIntyre has been in nine WWE games released on major consoles but has just learned that players can now play virtually with people across the globe.
The current WWE champion made his WWE video game debut in 2010 when he was included in the SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 roster, but speaking to Metro, he admits that he didn’t realize the ability to play with people across the world until the latest WWE games release, WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
“I didn’t realize you could batter people virtually across the world,” he laughed. “The biggest thing that stood out to me, aside from the fact it reminds me of the games I grew up with when I was really young in the arcade, is it’s easy to play. That’s the one thing I always struggle with when I get a new game, it takes me forever to work out how to play it, and then I still can’t do half the stuff. This one, anyone can pick it up.”
Even though Drew McIntyre has had many action figures with his likeness and been in nine video games, he says he never takes those pieces of merchandise for granted.
“I’m amazed at anything I’m on. As many video games as I’m in, or action figures, or cards I get now and sign,’ he said. ‘Thirteen years in America doing all this stuff, every single time something comes out with my face on it, it’s surreal to me. It never gets old, it never gets lost on me.”
