Mick Foley Reveals What Happened To Mr. Rocko After ‘This Is Your Life’

Mick Foley shares the touching stories of where some of the mementos from his highest-rated Monday Night Raw segment ended up.

The “This Is Your Life” segment featuring Mankind and The Rock in September of 1999 on Monday Night Raw remains the highest-rated segment in Monday Night Raw history. The segment, which aired on September 27, 1999’s episode of WWE’s flagship program received an 8.4 rating which remains the highest braided segment ever drawn on a pro wrestling show.

Featuring Mankind trying to surprise The Rock by bringing in wacky characters from his past to celebrate his birthday before being told that his birthday is in May, solidified the often heralded comedy duo that is The Rock N’ Sock Connection.

Mick Foley recently revealed on Twitter that the iconic “Mr. Rocko” and The Rock N’ Sock Connection jacket that he wore in the segment were both buried with two long-term fans that passed away after battling illnesses.

The tandem would go on to become WWE Tag Team Champions on three separate occasions before Mick Foley would retire in the year 2000. Because professional wrestling retirements don’t last forever, they would team again in 2004 to face Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista of Evolution at WrestleMania 20 in Madison Square Garden. A match that would prove to be Dwayne Johnson’s final wrestling match for nearly 8 years.

Even though these mementos were buried with wrestling fans who sought comfort in them, the memories of The Rock N’ Sock Connection live on forever in the minds and hearts of many wrestling fans, and their record has stood for over two decades with no sign of being replaced anytime soon.
