Honorary WWE Superstar Drax Shadow Passes Away
Elijah Mainville, a young boy with neuroblastoma who signed an honorary WWE contract under the name of Drax Shadow, passed away from the disease on Sunday.
Mainville was just nine years old.
WWE signed him to an honorary contract during an in-ring ceremony held in the summer of 2015. Video from that ceremony is embedded above.

WWE has been working with the cause of childhood cancer for the past few years, promoting Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September and starting a Connor's Cure charity in the name of Connor Michalek, who got to meet WWE wrestlers on multiple occasions starting in 2012 and was ringside at WrestleMania XXX when Daniel Bryan became WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
