Israel Adesanya Tells Chris Weidman: “Get Some Wins First”
Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman recently called out current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya for a future title bout.
Adesanya, who just defeated Paulo Costa at UFC 253, didn’t take too kindly to the call out.
@chrisweidman …get some wins first please.
I already have you figured out.
I’ve sized you up a few times.
Watched you hit and miss
I know how to fuck up your single and double leg attacks
I’m 10 steps ahead like I said.
I knew I would use this clip one day to prove that I knew! pic.twitter.com/6CJw46Kd5x— Israel Adesanya (@stylebender) October 3, 2020
They start it…I finish it.
I can troll like 5 people at a time.
But then the quality drops.
Gets some wins first Chris.
You don’t want WAR!! https://t.co/r5WkfLJaNK— Israel Adesanya (@stylebender) October 3, 2020
Weidman did not appreciate Adesanya’s response and called the champ “two-faced.”
You were very nice to my face that night to be talking like that on your phone. Two faced as hell! I would grab your weak ass and crush you! YOU remember our interactions that night and YOU know this is a problem you don’t want https://t.co/oBy2YE5iF0

The former middleweight champion has won just two of his last seven under the UFC banner, while Adesanya is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter with a record of 20-0-0.
