Report: Four Fights Added To Bellator 249, Patricky Pitbull In Action
The Bellator 249 card is filling up fast because four more fights have been added to the event.
Patricky Pitbull faces Jaleel Willis, Curtis Millender faces Joe Schilling, Ricky Bandejas faces Leandro Higo and Saad Awad faces Mandel Nallo. MMA Junkie first reported Pitbull vs. Willis, Bandejas vs. Higo and Awad vs. Nallo, while The Orange County Register first reported Millender/Schilling.
Pitbull (23-9-0) is competing for the first time since losing to Tofiq Musaev in the finals of the Rizin Lightweight World Grand Prix. Willis (13-2-0) is making his Bellator debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a four-fight winning streak.
Bandejas (13-4-0) has won two of his last five under the Bellator banner, with those wins coming over Ahmet Kayretli and Frans Mlambo. Higo (19-5-0) has won two of five in Bellator and he is also a former Legacy Fighting Alliance bantamweight champion.
Awad (23-13-0) enters the contest while riding a four-fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years. Nallo (7-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat which came against Killys Mota at Bellator 231.
Millender (18-6-0) has won just one of his last four fights with that lone win coming over Moses Murreitta at Bellator 238. Schilling (4-6-0) is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last professional MMA bout took place in October of 2019.
Bellator 249 takes place on Thursday, October 15 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Cris Cyborg and Arlene Blencowe headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the CBS Sports Network.
