AEW Dynamite Outdraws NXT In Viewership, Ratings For 9/23



Viewership and ratings for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and NXT are in.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the September 23 episode of Dynamite drew 835,000 viewers, which is down from the 886,000 viewers the September 16 episode drew. As for NXT, the show drew 696,000 viewers, which is up from the 689,000 viewers the September 16 episode drew.

In the 18-49 demographic, the September 23 episode of Dynamite drew a 0.32 rating, good for ninth-best on cable for the day and down from the 0.34 rating the September 16 episode drew. On the other hand, NXT drew a 0.18 rating, good for 38th best on cable and the same as the 0.18 rating the September 16 episode drew. Dynamite also drew a 0.20 rating in the 18-34 demo while NXT drew a 0.10 rating in that same demo. NXT did beat out Dynamite in the 50+ demo (0.37 to 0.32)

AEW saw two title matches take place. The first one saw TNT Champion Brodie Lee defeat Orange Cassidy while AEW World Champion Jon Moxley retained his title against Eddie Kingston in the main event.

NXT featured the first-ever Gauntlet Eliminator match where Kyle O’Reilly won and secured an NXT Championship against Finn Balor at TakeOver. In addition, Candice LeRae won a Battle Royal to get an NXT Women’s Championship match against Io Shirai at TakeOver.
