Bronson Reed Announced As Final Participant In Gauntlet Eliminator For 9/23 NXT
The field is now set for the five-man gauntlet eliminator.
NXT revealed that Bronson Reed will compete in the match taking place on the September 23 episode of NXT. The winner of the match will get to challenge Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver on October 4.
Below is the field for the gauntlet eliminator:
- Kushida
- Cameron Grimes
- Kyle O’Reilly
- Timothy Thatcher
- Bronson Reed
The rules for the match are as follows:
- Two men will start in the ring
- Every 4 minutes, another competitor will enter
- The only way to be eliminated is via pinfall or submission
- The last man standing will be named the No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship and will go on to face Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver

It was previously announced that the September 23 episode of NXT will feature a Battle Royal with the winner challenging for Io Shirai’s NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver.
