Kofi Kingston Doesn’t Think Roman Reigns Needs Paul Heyman

Kofi Kingston is sidelined, but he’s still paying attention to what’s happening on WWE SmackDown.

Arguably the biggest change on SmackDown in recent weeks has been the partnership between Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns. The partnership between the two has shown a new side of Reigns and Kofi is baffled by Reigns’ direction.

“He is a guy who has all the tools. He’s in movies, he’s ‘The Big Dog’ and the top dog in the yard. Why do you need this parasite Paul Heyman? Why do you need him to further yourself?” Kofi questioned while speaking in-character with ABC 6“To me, he was already there. I’m going to talk to him when I get there about what’s going on. Out of all the people in the world, why Paul Heyman? To me, he didn’t need to go that route. It’s interesting because you see people over time develop a new sense of personality and a new persona and it draws you in. I didn’t expect this. I never thought Roman would do this in a million years.”

Kingston has been sidelined since July 24 with an injury. His was set to be out for at least six weeks and there is no timetable for when he will return to television.
