Dana White On Donald Cerrone: “He And I Need To Have A Conversation”

Dana White was in attendance at UFC Vegas 11, where Donald Cerrone fought Niko Price to a majority draw in the co-main event.

“Cowboy” is now winless in his last five fights and White believes it may be time to have an important conversation with Cerrone.

“I thought it was a draw, too,” White said after the event (via Mike Bohn & John Morgan of MMA Junkie). “He was on his way out in the first 30 seconds of the first round. He fought back. He’s tough. He’s durable. I love ‘Cowboy’ and I know it’s going to (expletive) crush him and break his heart. It’s time to have a conversation. I need to talk to him. He and I need to have a conversation.”

Cerrone hasn’t won a fight in well over a year, with that last victory coming over Al Iaquinta at UFC Fight Night Ottawa in May of 2019.

The UFC President knows that Cerrone doesn’t want to stop fighting, but he still wants to have the conversation anyway.

“Let’s talk about stopping,” White said. “I don’t know, man. I’ve got to have this conversation with him and see what he says. I know what he’s going to say: ‘I don’t want to stop.’ But we have to have the conversation.”

White is going to have a few important conversations with fighters after UFC Vegas 11, as he already revealed that a talk may be coming with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
