Tyron Woodley Won’t Shake Colby Covington’s Hand At UFC Vegas 11
There is no love between Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington and there won’t be after the fight.
Former UFC welterweight champion Woodley and former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington meet this weekend in the main event of UFC Vegas 11. Woodley expects to decimate his longtime rival at UFC Vegas 11, but one thing he won’t be doing is shaking Covington’s hand after their bout is finished.
“I’m definitely going to punch Colby in the face. Punch him, kick him, knee him, elbow him, knock him out, submit him, wake him up, knock him out again,” Woodley said on The Hollywood Beatdown (via Cole Shelton of BJPenn.com). “Then sweep him off the mat with no handshake. Definitely going to punch Colby Covington and I hate to even (say) his name because he doesn’t even deserve to be on our show. But, he’s getting a punch in the face.”
There is no word as of yet as to what kind of post-fight plans Covington may have if he wins at UFC Vegas 11.
UFC Vegas 11 takes place on Saturday, September 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
