Phil Davis Defeats Lyoto Machida In Bellator 245 Main Event, Low Blows Dominate The Undercard
Former Bellator light heavyweight champion Phil Davis again pulled out a decision win over former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, with this one coming by split decision.

Round Three: The round begins with the fighters taking a few swings at each other, Machida and Davis also exchange some leg kicks. Davis goes back to attacking Machida with kicks to the midsection, Machida comes forward and he attacks Davis with a few combinations. Davis stays on the outside while taking some swings at Machida, Davis eats a leg kick after landing a kick to the midsection of Machida. Machida barely lands a head kick on Davis as the round ends.

The undercard of the show was highlighted by Cat Zingano’s promotion debut, as she defeated Gabrielle Holloway by unanimous decision. Low blows were also a theme of the undercard, as the Raymond Daniels/Peter Stanonik and Tyrell Fortune/Jack May fights were both ruled no contests due to accidental groin strikes.
