UPDATE: Big Title Changes At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11, US Dates Announced
New Japan's biggest event of the year saw some major changes for more than just NJPW.
Adam Cole regained the ROH World Championship over Kyle O'Reilly on the annual January 4 show. The move stirred the rumor mill, as O'Reilly was working without a Ring of Honor contract and has garnered WWE interest. It's Adam Cole's third reign as ROH Champion, becoming the first man ever to reach that feat.
Speaking of third title reigns Roppongi Vice defeated Bullet Club's Young Bucks to capture the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championships. Before the match, the Bucks came out with four different title belts, including their own custom titles.
The NEVER Openweight Six-Man saw it's ninth title change on the anniversary of it's debut. The Los Ingobernables combination of Bushi, Evil and Sanada won a gauntlet match to become the new champions.
UPDATE:
Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano) won a triple threat match via low blow and roll-up to become new IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. They defeated G.B.H. (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) and Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa), who entered the match as champs.
Hiromu Takahashi defeated Kushida to become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, pinning the former champ after a Time Bomb.
And in yet another title change, Hirooki Goto got the better of Katsuyori Shibata to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion.
Elsewhere, NJPW announced that they'll be showcasing a "G1 Special" at the Long Beach Convention Center on July 1 and 2 in Los Angeles, California.
