Tetsuya Naito is once again a double IWGP Champion.
At NJPW Summer Struggle in Jingu, Tetsuya Naito recaptured the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships by defeating EVIL in the main event. The encounter once again featured multiple run-ins with Bullet Club using their usual tactics and numbers advantage, but El Desperado and SANADA showing up to help out their Los Ingobernables mate.
Naito put EVIL away with the Destino.
EVIL defeated Naito at Dominion to win both titles. His reign as double champion lasted 48 days. Naito was the first-ever double IWGP champion, pairing the belts at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
