NEVER Openweight Championship Changes Hands At NJPW Summer Struggle In Jingu
Minoru Suzuki is the new NEVER Openweight Champion.
Suzuki defeated Shingo Takagi to capture the title at NJPW Summer Struggle in Jingu, putting him away with the Gotch Style piledriver. The hard-hitting affair saw Suzuki survive the pumping bomber and Made in America before picking up the victory.
This marks Suzuki’s second reign as the NEVER Openweight Champion. He lost won the title in April 2017 and his reign lasted 252 days. Shingo’s reign lasted 209 days.
