New Raw Women’s Champion Crowned At WWE SummerSlam
Asuka is once again Raw Women’s Champion.
For the fifth time in her career, Sasha Banks lost in her first defense of the Raw Women’s Championship. Banks put the title on the line against Asuka at SummerSlam and walked away with one less belt after Asuka tapped her with the Asuka lock. Asuka had wrestled previously in the night, losing to Bayley in a SmackDown Women’s Title match, which included a distraction by Banks.
Bayley tried to return the favor in the Raw Women’s Title match, but her distraction/interference didn’t go as well as Asuka was able to overcome for the victory.
This marks Asuka’s second reign as the Raw Women’s Champion.
