Injuries Cause Changes To UFC Fight Night 103, Top 10 Fighter Added

A pair of injuries have caused changes for next month’s UFC Fight Night 103 card. #8 Flyweight John Moraga will replace an injured #4 Jussier Formiga against #14 Sergio Pettis and Drakkar Klose will replace an injured Jordan Rinaldi against Devin Powell.

Moraga (11-5-0) will enter the fight on a two fight losing streak, those losses came to the duo of Joseph Benavidez and Matheus Nicolau. Moraga has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to current champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC On Fox 8.

Pettis (14-2-0) will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak, those two wins have come over both Chris Cariaso and Chris Kelades. Pettis is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Flyweight Champion, he defeated Joe Pegg to win the gold in 2013.

Klose (5-0-1) will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he does hold a win over Bellator MMA veteran Alex Garcia. Klose has already held two championships in his career, as he is a former Rage In The Cage and Duel For Domination Lightweight Champion.

Powell (8-1-0) will also be making his UFC debut in this fight and he will be doing so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Powell is also a former New England Fights Lightweight Champion, he defended the belt once before signing with the UFC in 2016.

UFC Fight Night 103 takes place on Sunday, January 15 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with BJ Penn and Yair Rodriguez headlining.
