Brandi Rhodes Is Proud That She’s Never Had To Worry About Inclusivity In AEW
Upon getting started in 2018, one of the major goals of AEW, especially for Chief Branding Officer, Brandi Rhodes, was to make sure that AEW was for everyone. One year later, she is pleased with the team’s commitment to that initial goal.
With stars like Nyla Rose, Marko Stunt, Sonny Kiss, and Orange Cassidy, All Elite Wrestling certainly has a diverse roster of competitors that display a wide variety of styles both inside and outside of the squared circle.
Speaking with Sportskeeda, Brandi Rhodes discussed how proud she is of the diverse locker room and staff employed by AEW.
“As far as our talent goes, we’ve never [had to work to be inclusive]. We’ve never had to do it, which is really really remarkable and it speaks to what the wrestling landscape looks like today. If you’re not having to search and find a demographic, it’s all just right there and available, and there are all these people who are fantastic in-ring, they bring characters, they bring a lot of life to wrestling,” Brandi stated. “We’ve actually been pleased. We take a look around sometimes backstage and these were just the people that we wanted, regardless of how they old are, what race they are, gender, or whatever. It’s really been nice and, again, that just speaks to wrestling being so much more diverse these days than it’s ever been.”
Sonny Kiss recently challenged Cody Rhodes for the AEW TNT Championship and was also considered by Chris Jericho to be the first challenger for the AEW World Championship. Learn more about that at this link.
