EVIL Wins New Japan Cup 2020, Joins Bullet Club

EVIL is your 2020 New Japan Cup Champion.

In the finals of the 2020 New Japan Cup, EVIL, with some help from Bullet Club, was able to best Kazuchika Okada.

Okada looked to have the victory in hand following a pair of rainmakers and locking EVIL in the cobra clutch, but Gedo distracted the referee, allowing Yujiro Takahashi to interfere. Moments later, the ref was bumped in the corner, allowing EVIL to take advantage with a series of low blows. EVIL finished Okada off with Everything is EVIL for the crown.

As a result of his victory, EVIL will face Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships in the main event of Dominion on July 12.

EVIL and Naito were both part of Los Ingobernables de Japon, but EVIL turned his back on Naito and LIJ following his victory over Okada, laying Naito out with Everything is EVIL and joining Bullet Club.
