Report: Niklas Stolze Steps In At UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till
Ramzan Emeev needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till after the withdrawal of Shavkat Rakhmonov and now he has one in the former of Niklas Stolze.
MMA Fighting first reported the news and the bout is still expected to be a part of the preliminary card.
Emeev (18-4-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Sam Alvey, Alberto Mina and Stefan Sekulic. Emeev is a former M-1 Challenge Welterweight Champion, defeating Mario Miranda at M-1 Challenge 38 to win the gold. Emmev has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of decision.
Stolze (12-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Stolze is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last professional MMA bout took place in April of last year. Stolze has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till takes place on Saturday, July 25 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
