Police Report Says Mike Perry Hit Three People At Table 82, UFC Issues Statement

UFC fighter Mike Perry was caught on video attacking an unidentified male earlier this week at a restaurant in Lubbock, Texas known at Table 82.

However, it appears that the unidentified male wasn’t the only person struck by Perry, as a police reported obtained by MMA Fighting reveals that Perry may have struck three different people. Perry allegedly told the police that people were trying to put their hands on him as he was trying to leave the premises, with a woman that Perry allegedly struck being accused of clawing at the fighter.

Perry also claims that the second person he hit was merely shoved after the person allegedly put their hands on the UFC fighter. The UFC star also says that the person that was shown being struck in the video released earlier today had actually grabbed his face and shirt before getting struck.

The fighter also says the entire incident began after the first victim was heard allegedly saying things about him and girlfriend Latory Gonzalez. The woman that Perry allegedly struck was actually the girlfriend of the first person Perry hit at the restaurant. The older person that was hit, which was shown on the video, was transported to a local hospital after being left unconscious by Perry, some say they heard the man’s head smack the concrete after Perry landed his strike.

Authorities have already charged Perry with a Class A assault, which is classified as a misdemeanor, which means that Perry will have to make a future court appearance and possibly pay a $500 fine.

A statement has been issued by the UFC on the matter, stating that Perry will not be allowed to fight in the promotion again until his personal issues have been dealt with:

“UFC is aware and troubled by the video that was released last night concerning Mike Perry. The conduct displayed by Perry is not reflective of that of our organization. Perry apologized for his behavior and acknowledged he was disappointed with himself that his actions may have reflected poorly on UFC. He further acknowledged that he believes he has some issues related to alcohol abuse and has informed UFC that he has committed to immediately seek professional treatment, including substance and behavioral counseling. At this time, UFC has informed Perry that he will not be offered a bout, and the parties have agreed to evaluate next steps for Perry following the completion of his treatment program.”
