Report: Phil Hawes Faces Khadzhi Bestaev On Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 32
A middleweight division attraction has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 32 as Phil Hawes faces Khadzhi Bestaev.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Hawes (7-2-0) previously appeared on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 4, suffering a second round knockout loss to Julian Marquez. Hawes comes into this bout on a three fight losing streak, dropping fights to Michael Wilcox, Dominic Schober and Yuri Fraga. Hawes has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have gone the distance.
Bestaev (10-3-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Eric Smith and Robert Allensworth. Bestaev has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and one of those came to UFC veteran Alonzo Menifield at LFA 13 in June of 2017. Bestaev has competed thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went past the opening round.
Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 32 takes place on Tuesday, September 8 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
