Report: Zak Cummings Faces Alessio Di Chirico At August 29 UFC Card
A middleweight division attraction has been added to the recently announced UFC card in August 29 as Zak Cummings faces Alessio Di Chirico.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Cummings (23-7-0) has won two of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Trevor Smith and Trevin Giles. Cummings hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, as the aforementioned win over Giles came in May of 2019. Cummings has picked up twenty three wins as a professional MMA fighter and twelve of them came by way of submission.
Di Chirico (12-4-0) enters the contest on a two fight losing skid, dropping bouts to the duo of Kevin Holland and Makhmud Muradov. Di Chirico has since his last three fights go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Di Chirico has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came by way of decision.
The recently announced UFC card is set for Saturday, August 29 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
