Chris Jericho: I Got Paid $750 For WWE Title Match On 2016 WWE Live Event
Chris Jericho was still working WWE World Heavyweight Championship matches in the summer of 2016, although some nights he wasn’t getting paid the big bucks.
Someone on Twitter posted a picture of an advertised show lineup for a WWE live event in North Carolina that saw Jericho face Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley) for the WWE title. Jericho responded to the tweet and said he got paid $750 that night.

Of course, just because both Jericho and Moxley were wrestling for world titles in WWE years ago doesn’t mean that their rivalry stopped when they both left the company. Moxley ended up beating Jericho to win the AEW World Championship back at the Revolution pay-per-view in February.
Speaking of Jericho’s opponent on that night, Moxley is no stranger to also getting paid three figures for working WWE matches. Moxley has also claimed that he got paid $500 for working his last WWE match in 2019 when he teamed with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in an event that was streamed on the WWE Network entitled “The Shield’s Final Chapter.”
Now, both Jericho and Moxley are wrestling for AEW.
