Nia Jax Says Her Haters Are A Small Percentage Of Twitter Users Who Have Nothing Better To Do
Nia Jax says that in real life, fans are very nice to her and said that her detractors come from a small percentage of social media fans.
Nia Jax returned to WWE after WrestleMania 36 and in the time that she’s returned, she’s had two matches with Kairi Sane where Sane left the ring more banged up than intended. This has led to a vocal portion of social media fans denouncing Nia Jax’s in-ring work, with some even calling for her to be removed from the championship picture.
Speaking with talkSPORT, Jax opened up about being affected by the negativity on social media but taking solace in the real-life interactions she has had with members of the WWE Universe.
“I feel like every person or character who would say ‘oh, whatever they say doesn’t bother me’ are kind of lying. Because I am working for the approval of an audience. Whether it be hating or loving, I want their reaction,” Jax admitted. “So when you’re on Twitter and you see it constantly, it can definitely get to you a little bit. It’s like ‘wow, all I’m seeing is negativity.’ But when I step back and I actually immerse myself into the WWE Universe – like when I get to see the crowd and fans – I know that’s just a small percentage on Twitter who have nothing better to do than hate on somebody.”
She concluded, “The fans in real life are so welcoming, so giving and so understanding, I’ve had nothing but positive feedback from them and I’m super grateful for that.”
Nia Jax will compete against Asuka at WWE Backlash for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Fightful will have live coverage of the event beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, June 14, 2020.
