AEW Dynamite, NXT Viewership Down For 6/3
After AEW Dynamite and NXT drew its best viewership in months last week, this week saw both shows’ audience go down.
According to Showbuzz Daily, the June 3 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 730,000 viewers, down from last week’s 827,000 viewers. NXT, on the other hand, averaged 715,000 viewers, down from last week’s 731,000 viewers.
In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite came out on top against NXT with a 0.29 rating, which is down from last week’s 0.32 rating in that same demographic. NXT’s rating actually grew, drawing a 0.20 rating, up from last week’s 0.19 rating.
NXT finished a tournament to crown an Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion with El Hijo Del Fantasma beating Drake Maverick in the finals. In addition, the show featured lengthy vignettes previewing the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship matches for the upcoming NXT TakeOver: In Your House event.
AEW Dynamite was headlined by a TNT Championship match between Cody and Jungle Boy, which Cody won. The first match of the night was another title match, Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
