Report: UFC Veteran Eric Shelton Signs With ARES FC

Another former UFC star is reportedly making his way to ARES FC as Eric Shelton has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.

Mike Heck of MMA Fighting first reported the news, but the length of Shelton’s contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal weren’t revealed at this time.

Shelton (13-7-0) won just two of six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Janel Lausa and Joseph Morales. Shelton also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24, making it to the semi-finals of the reality show before losing to Tim Elliott. Shelton is also a former Caged Aggression Flyweight Champion, while he also failed in his attempt to win the Warriors Xtreme Challenge Flyweight Title last year. Shelton has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.

There is no word at this time as to when Shelton will make his promotional debut or whom that bout will come against.
