Following the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a former police officer in Minnesota on Monday, May 25, 2020, many protests began all over the country.

WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali is seen on screen as a force for light, change, and the good in the world, but he is also a former police officer from Chicago. Speaking on Twitter, Ali would say that he tried to change the system from within during his time as an officer and would regularly step in to stop excessive force.

Furthermore, Ali would step up to cover the booking fee of a wrestler who says that he has been told to “tone down” his political stance at the risk of losing bookings. Ali swiftly recommended him to Freelance Wrestling in Chicago and told him to continue speaking up.
