Report: Jessica Andrade vs. Rose Namajunas II Rebooked For July 11 UFC Card

A women’s strawweight division rematch has been rebooked for a yet to be announced UFC card on July 11 as #1 Jessica Andrade faces #2 Rose Namajunas.

Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the news, as the fight was originally set to happen at UFC 249.

Andrade (20-7-0) is competing for the first time since losing the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title to Weili Zhang at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Andrade won the first meeting between herself and Namajunas, with that victory coming by second round knockout at UFC 237. Andrade has suffered four losses while competing in the UFC, with three of them coming to those who have held or challenged for UFC gold.

Namajunas (8-4-0) is competing for the first time since losing the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title to Andrade at UFC 237. Namajunas is going to be competing for the first time in almost a year, as UFC 237 took place in May of 2019. Namajunas has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.

The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, July 11 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
