Sean Ross Stats For The Wrestling Week Ending 5/29/20
– Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax only have had one one-on-one (whew) match against each other, way back in 2017 for about six minutes.
– Apollo Crews captured his first title in WWE of any kind on Monday.
– The cage fight match held on Wednesday on NXT was the first of its kind in WWE history. The Lion’s Den match did not have a platform above it.
– All four of Timothy Thatcher’s NXT matches thus far have included Matt Riddle in them, either as an opponent or a tag team partner.
– There were six matches on NXT this past week. Only one of them went longer than 8:20. Two of them were under 1:20.
– Between EVOLVE and NXT TV, Reina Gonzalez and Shotzi Blackheart have competed against each other five times since November.
– Between April 27 and May 27, Charlotte Flair was only victorious in four of her seven matches. She wrestled on Raw, Smackdown and NXT in May.
– Adam Cole will reach one year as NXT Champion on WWE TV this week.
– There were only five matches on three hours of WWE Raw this past week. Two of them went under 4:20.
– Angel Garza beat Kevin Owens in 3:35.
– Apollo Crews has won four out of his last five matches.
– Hikaru Shida has won her last nine singles matches, and hasn’t lost a singles match on AEW in 2020. Overall, she’s 11-1 in AEW singles matches since Dynamite started.
– Chad Gable wrestled for the first time in the pandemic era. He hadn’t wrestled on TV since February 14.
– Chad Gable and Cesaro had their first singles match against each other on Friday’s Smackdown.
– Chad Gable picked up his first televised win since a January 3 victory over Dash Wilder.
