The Elite Wins Stadium Stampede At AEW Double Or Nothing
The first Stadium Stampede in AEW history was certainly memorable in more ways than one.
The Elite (Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, Matt Hardy & The Young Bucks) took on The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz) wrestled at the same football stadium that the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars to close off the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.
The match had plenty of highlights from Page entering the field on a horse and chasing Guevara throughout the field to Matt Jackson jumping off the field goal posts, Hardy returning to his Matt Hardy V1 character and even Hager and Page having a bar brawl.
Of course, that wasn’t the end of it as the match also saw Matt hit 100 yards’ worth of Northern Lights Suplexes on Guevara as well and Jericho hit the Jaguars’ mascot with the Judas Effect.
Even the referees didn’t come off unscathed with Aubrey Edwards was called a “shitty referee” by Jericho and Matt superkicking another referee after being hit with a penalty for celebrating like Alex Wright.
In the end, however, it was The Elite who came out on top after Omega hit a V-Trigger, followed by a One-Winged Angel on Guevara.
Matt Jackson risked it all in this #StadiumStampede Match!

The rivalry between both factions had been brewing for months and were originally supposed to be facing off against each other in Blood & Guts but that match was called off due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
