Maria Manic Says She And Teddy Hart Are In A Much Better Place, Says She’s Mentally In A Good Place

The relationship between Maria Manic and Teddy Hart has been in the headlines this year as Hart was arrested on April 26 and charged with strangulation resulting in wounding/bodily harm. Manic was named as the victim.

Speaking in a YouTube video after the incident, Manic gave her side of the story and said she never wanted the police involved and didn’t want to press charges. She didn’t believe Hart was trying to harm her, just that the two were initially playing around and things got a little too intense. She didn’t want the incident labeled as domestic abuse.

Speaking on the ROH Strong podcast, Manic updated fans on her relationship with Hart.

“We’re in a much better place now than we’ve ever been. The worst thing you can do — the best way to ruin a relationship is to stick people together and not let them leave. Us being trapped in a house together is not good for either of us. We can’t get away from each other and it’s not good. Now, he has an Air BNB, I have my place, and we can see each other when we want. It’s not a forced feeling that we’re trapped together. I’m in a very good place. I’m mentally very strong right now and my mental health is in a good place. I’m relying on myself for the happiness and not relying on other people. Even if you love someone, you still can’t rely on someone for happiness. I’m figuring stuff this out, blindly,” she said.

Hart’s court date is currently set for July 16. Under Virginia law, strangulation is considered a class six felony. A conviction could land him in jail for up to five years.
