Beth Phoenix And Mauro Ranallo Calling NXT From Home

WWE has found a way to incorporate announcers Mauro Ranallo and Beth Phoenix into NXT without having them at the Performance Center.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Ranallo and Phoenix recorded their commentary for Wednesday’s NXT from their respective homes. It was noticeable multiple times during the show that the duo were not at the Performance Center due to edits and not being shown on-screen.

Tom Phillips was part of Wednesday’s NXT announce team, setting up the action for Mauro and Beth at the Performance Center.

Ryan Satin of WWE Backstage adds that WWE made this call as a way to limit both of them from traveling during the coronavirus pandemic.

WWE recently changed its taping schedule to limit the amount of live shows they would have to do each week. Instead of running weekly events, they are taping every two weeks.
