Chelsea Green: We Don’t Need An Evolution Event Every Year, But I Would Love An NXT Evolution

It’s been nearly two full years since the first and only all-female Evolution event and Chelsea Green would be interested in seeing it again, perhaps in NXT.

During an interview with Spencer Love of the Conversations With Love podcast, Green was asked about her thoughts on Evolution making a return someday and Green said she would love to have it return. She did however note that a yearly iteration of the pay-per-view isn’t exactly needed, but if it were to return, a version of it with just NXT talent would be one to do, according to her.

“I think Evolution, I would say the opposite about Evolution as I did about SHIMMER and Shine. Everyone in WWE, they’ve moulded this character. They have this persona. They have storylines. We’re all invested in each match differently. I would love to see an Evolution again. I don’t necessarily think we need to have one every year. I don’t think we need to hammer it into fans, like ‘you need to like this Women’s Evolution, you need to support us.’ That’s not necessary. But, I do think, okay, let’s do another one. We have so much amazing talent, and with NXT just exploding now, we could do an NXT Evolution,” Green said.

The first Evolution show took place in October 2018, headlined by Ronda Rousey defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella with the SmackDown, NXT and NXT UK Women’s titles also being defended at the show.
