Brave CF Fighter Helps Catch Alleged Flasher
Brave CF, like many other MMA promotions in the world right now, has been on lockdown and postponing events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, despite being affected by the lockdown, one of the promotion’s stars in Maria Ribeiro lived up to her “Wonder Woman” nickname by helping the police arrest an alleged flasher. Ribeiro was about to head to the grocery store to do some shopping when the alleged flasher rode by her house while riding a bike.
“I left the house and was about to enter the car, (and) this guy on a bicycle exposed himself,” Ribeiro told MMA Fighting. “A million things crossed my mind in 10 seconds. We had three kids playing in the front yard all the time; my brother goes to work, and there’s only women and 3- and 4-year-old kids at home every day. Imagine what happens if this guy shows up?”
Ribeiro and two other women would get into a car and they would chase the alleged flasher down and would catch up to him after following the person for several blocks.
The alleged flasher says that he was searching for a piece of meat and wasn’t actually flashing anybody.
“I jumped out of the car and started running barefoot after him,” she said. “He started screaming that he was innocent, that he hadn’t done anything, that he was trying to take a piece of meat from his shorts. I slapped him, punched him, took him down. My friends held me when he was bloodied on the floor, so we called the police and he was arrested.”
Authorities have already released the flasher and no piece of meat was found on the person when the arrest was made.
