Teddy Hart’s Court Date Pushed Back To July
Teddy Hart will have to wait a little longer to get his day in court.
According to court records (via PWInsider) in Richmond, Virginia, Hart’s court date has been pushed back to Thursday, July 16.
Hart is being charged with strangulation resulting in wounding/bodily harm. He was originally scheduled to appear in court on April 22, but the date was pushed back to June 10 before being moved once again to July.
Under Virginia law, strangulation is considered a class six felony. A conviction could land him in jail for up to five years.
Fightful learned that on the afternoon of March 26, Hart was involved in an altercation with independent wrestler Ace Montana, who posted a video of him running off Hart. Montana would claim that Hart attacked his on-and-off girlfriend, ROH star Maria Manic. Hart denied the claim in the video.
Manic discussed the incident in a YouTube video, saying she never wanted the police to be involved. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation if anything else changes.
