Braun Strowman Weighs In On Potential Clash Between Tyson Fury And New WWE Champion Drew McIntyre
Braun Strowman is the only WWE Superstar who can say that he’s been in the ring with both Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury and now, he is weighing in on a potential fight between the two.
Recently, on talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast, Tyson Fury commented on Drew McIntyre’s WrestleMania win, noting that he was supposed to be appearing at WrestleMania 36 before the global pandemic and said that he would knock out the new WWE Champion should he ever get the opportunity.
“I was supposed to be at WrestleMania 36, but obviously with the Coronavirus, I couldn’t be there. I probably would have jumped in the ring and set about both of them.” Fury said. “You know, I’m all open for the challenge. I beat one giant wrestler who’s bigger than Drew, Braun Strowman, knocked him clean out, I’m sure I’d do the same to our old Drew. But I’m over ecstatic for him because it’s the first-ever time in history that a British fighter has won the WWE Championship.”
Speaking to SuperSport, Braun Strowman weighed in on how a potential in-ring clash would go for the two British-born champions.
“Well [Tyson] better learn how to do more than punch, I can tell you that. He got lucky with the one he caught me with when I was standing outside the ropes,” Strowman began. “Drew McIntyre, like myself, is a completely different trained animal than Tyson Fury has ever stepped in the ring with… he might be in for a world of awakening. I’ve been hit with the Claymore kick probably more than anybody and I know what it’s capable of, so, the best of luck if he wants to get in there and get his head kicked off. Go ahead and give it a try and see what happens.”
Drew McIntyre talked all about the beef with Tyson Fury on the April 8th edition of WWE’s The Bump. You can watch the full episode at this link.
