Dominick Reyes Says The UFC, But Not Jon Jones, Is On Board With A Second Fight
The challenger says that the UFC is on board with a rematch between the two, but Jones doesn’t seem to be on the same page with them.
“I know the UFC is on board,” Reyes told MMA Junkie. “I know I’m on board. The issue is Jon right now. He’s going to say he’s down online, obviously on Twitter. When he gets those contracts in front of him, he’s a little different. That’s where we’re at.”
Neither Jones or Reyes have competed since the first contest and neither are booked for a bout at the moment.
Reyes says that he wants to right the wrong that took place at UFC 247, but with more competent judges the second time around.
“Well, (expletive), man,” Reyes said. “I feel like I was wronged on Feb. 8. I’m not OK with that. I’m not just living my life like, ‘Oh yeah. It’s cool. I got robbed. I’m not going to do anything about it. I want to rematch him. I want to fight him again with judges who are a little more competent.”
Jones has been dealing with the fall out of his latest arrest and has yet to confirm who the next title defense would come against.
