Mexican Wrestler Black Demon Passes Away Due To COVID-19
The wrestling world unfortunately lost a life due to COVID-19.
Superluchas.com reported this week that Mexican independent wrestler Black Demon passed away on April 13 due to complications caused by the virus. Real name Roberto Munoz Carrillo, Demon was only 39-years old.
Demon had the biggest highlight of his career in February where he won the Pendragón Rojo Cup in PPR, a longstanding independent promotion. He was awarded a trophy sporting a silver dragon that he proudly posed with.
A friend memorialized Carrillo in a social media post, saying:
You threw a different fight without opponents but with time limit today you leave the 3rd. Rope and put your back to ras of the ring…
To lose this fight
To never get up again…You lost the most important fight in your life
But that makes us more proud of you bastard…
We will always remember you for your events but more for your way of being..You left very good memories..
See you soon my friend

Carrillo should not be confused with the Black Demon that competed in the WWF in the 1980s.
We send our condolences and best wishes to the family, friends, and fans of Black Demon.
