Tony Ferguson Still Cutting Weight For Canceled UFC 249 Event

Former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson and former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje were supposed to battle for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Title in the main event of UFC 249, but then UFC President Dana White was asked to step down by ESPN and Disney, which led to UFC 249 being canceled and other cards getting postponed.

While there is no chance of UFC 249 happening in any way on April 18, it hasn’t stopped one of the two main event fighters in Ferguson from still trying to make weight on that date.

Ferguson took to Twitter To reveal that he is still cutting weight for the now-canceled card:

Weigh-in day is actually Friday, April 17, which leaves Ferguson less than four days to make the championship weight limit of 155 pounds. There is no word at this time as to what Ferguson plans to do on the now-canned fight day if he does indeed make weight on Friday.
