Report: Lyman Good Injured, Off UFC 249
This month’s UFC 249 card has taken a hit because Lyman Good has suffered an injury, forcing him to withdrawal from a bout against Belal Muhammad.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, but the exact nature of Good’s injury or how long the fighter is expected to be out of action for isn’t known at this time. Muhammad is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement opponent for him to face.
Muhammad (16-3-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Curtis Millender and Takashi Sato. Muhammad has a 4-1-0 record when competing on UFC pay-per-view cards, with that lone loss coming to Vicente Luque at UFC 205. Muhammad has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came under the UFC banner.
UFC 249 takes place on Saturday, April 18 from a location to be announced with Tony Ferguson and an opponent to be announced headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
