Becky Lynch On Ronda Rousey: Leave Her At Home
One year ago, Becky Lynch vanquished Ronda Rousey from WWE, defeating her at WrestleMania 35 in a triple threat match that also included Charlotte Flair.
One year later, Lynch is still asked about Rousey as she prepares to face Rousey’s friend Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36. It is unknown if or when Rousey will return to WWE, but unless she’s willing to put in the work once she returns, Becky would rather her stay at home.
“Yeah, leave her at home,” Becky told Entrevista when asked about Rousey potentially returning. “I’ve talked a long time that all this little MMA-heads that want to come in to WWE because they think it’s an easy meal ticket, but not put in the work, not put in the hours that we do when it comes to travel, when it comes to studying the craft, when it comes to the grind, obsessing about this and making sure the crowd appreciates everything that we do. If she doesn’t want to put in that work, good riddance to her. If she does want to come back, I’ll be holding down the fort. Just remember that I’ve been getting better and better while she’s at home playing her Twitch or whatever.”
Ronda Rousey teased fans of a possible WrestleMania appearance in a YouTube video earlier this week and said she would “soon” return to dominate Becky with her stinky feet.
Lynch offered up the following reply.
You better hurry up and beat me, Shayna. Auntie Ronda is casting her shadow again now you’ve got yourself a little bit of the spotlight. https://t.co/8ljhoXPW2Y
