Report: Fighters Getting Paid After UFC Fight Night London Cancellation

UFC Fight Night London was the first of three events (others being UFC Fight Night Columbus and UFC Fight Night Portland) to be postponed or canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, if there is a bright side to the event being canned, it is that all the fighters who were scheduled to compete on the card will still get paid.

MMA Fighting, citing several fighters they allegedly spoke to, is reporting that the UFC is paying everybody who was supposed to compete at the event.

Marvin Vettori, who was supposed to face Darren Stewart at the event, posted the following on Twitter:

Thank to the @ufc for taking care of me for the London card situation, I’ve been all in from day 1 in this and it’s good to see that even in hard times like these the work im doing is being recognized.
Always ready always working —

Molly McCann, who was supposed to fight Ashlee Evans-Smith at the event, posted the following on Instagram:

There is no word at this time as to whether or not the UFC will pay the fighters who were set to compete on the now canceled UFC Fight Night Columbus and UFC Fight Night Portland cards.
